Most people who visit this part of France have heard of, or have visited the Medieval city of Carcassonne, about an hour’s drive from Les Sablons. Béziers is well worth at least a day. Going up the River Orb, you will pass by Roquebrun, you can also press on up to Olargues, which ranked as one of France’s most beautiful villages.
