HIKING AND MOUNTAIN BIKING

FOR THE ACTIVE AND ADVENTUROUS

The only place where you can’t get out on your bike or walk around is South of the campsite; that’s the sea! Unless of course you have access to a boat or take the opportunity to go on a fishing trip organized by one of our partners!
The Cevennes foothills to the north offer great scenery such as the Parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc (‘National park’), and the Orb and Jaur valleys which hide natural treasures between the peaks and scrublands such as the Gorges d’Héric et de Colombières, massif du Caroux (Mount Caroux), Gorges de l’Orb, Lac et Saut de Vesoles, and Somail.

The hillslopes around Languedoc are covered in vineyards so a quiet walk or bike ride amongst them might seem like a good idea; take in those wonderful scents
Don’t forget the Canal du Midi, it stretches for miles, with its locks and the occasional stop off point where you can quench your thirst or have a bite to eat.
