LOCAL LANGUEDOC SPECIALITIES

The French love to wine and dine………and there is no better region to “do as the French do” than ours!  The Languedoc has much to offer…  but where do we start?
With wine of course! For many years, the Languedoc region has earned a world wide reputation for its wines: Corbières, Faugères, Picpoul, Pic Saint-Loup, all names to get those taste buds going! So, go ahead and visit our region’s wine cellars (known as Caves).  A word of warning though, our wines are cultivated over long summer sunny days and are well known for their rich content!

Fancy something totally “French” to eat : Goats Cheese (“pélardons”), Cold Cuts from the High Country, Small Pézenas “Patés”, Jams, Melons, Bull Specialties, Bouzigues Oysters, Red Tuna And Sardines…
In the Autumn, our century-old olive trees produce the best olive oil there is. In the Spring, we get the “garriguette” strawberries wild asparagus, and the Jaur Valley cherry….and before we give in to those temptations, there’s always Muscat de Frontignan and Noilly Prat de Marseillan…  what a wonderful thought!
